On Site

• Installation of gas services – 10 working days – (Minimum 2 services at a time – 6 preferred)
• Installation of gas mains– 10 working days – (Minimum 50 meters)
• Installation of gas meters – 8 working days – (Minimum 2 meters – 6 preferred) after completion of service
• Off-site works – up to 40 calendar days – (Lead time depends on the status of the highways to be worked on and the local authority’s requirements)

These standards of service are based on the assumption that all mains’ trenches are pre-excavated and that service pipe, up to 32mm, is pre-laid from the main to the meter position before the network operator arrives on site.
Under no circumstances should the Client lay any pipe greater than 32mm.

FOR ALL GAS ESCAPES AND EMERGENCIES CALL 0800 111 999
In the event of gas escape:
1. Turn off gas at the meter/emergency control and leave it off until the escape has been repaired.
2. Extinguish all naked flames.
3. Open doors and windows for ventilation.
4. Do not operate any electrical switches on or off. If an electrical security entry lock/phone is fitted, then this must not be operated. The door must be opened manually when the engineer arrives.
